Hair loss on a GLP-1
Mounjaro’s and Wegovy’s leaflets list it as common, up to 1 in 10 people, and both NHS pages name it. Mounjaro’s lists it for people treated for weight management, and Wegovy’s says it may happen more often at 7.2mg. Zepbound’s label says hair loss in its trials was associated with weight reduction.

What else they say
More often in women
In two Zepbound weight trials, one with type 2 diabetes, 7.1% of women on it reported hair loss, against 0.5% of men.
None stopped for it
In those trials, the label says, nobody on Zepbound stopped treatment due to hair loss; one person on placebo did.
If it bothers you
If a side effect bothers you or doesn’t go away, the NHS says a pharmacist or doctor may give advice on how to reduce it.
On stopping
The NHS says keep taking your medicine unless you’re advised to stop, and talk to your doctor if you want to stop.
Questions

Is it linked to losing weight?
Zepbound’s label says hair loss in its trials was associated with weight reduction. Mounjaro’s leaflet lists it for people treated for weight management.
Will my hair grow back?
None of these sources says how long hair loss lasts. If it bothers you or doesn’t go away, the NHS says speak to a pharmacist or doctor.
