Need a hand with Jabwise? Most questions are answered below. If yours is not, email us and we will get back to you.

Contact

Email [email protected]. Include your iPhone or iPad model and iOS or iPadOS version so we can help faster. Never send us your journal or anything about your health: we do not need it to help.

Reminders not arriving

Open Jabwise, then Reminders, and check each reminder is switched on. If it says notifications are off, open the Settings app, tap Notifications, then Jabwise, and turn on Allow Notifications. Focus modes can also hold reminders back.

Restoring a purchase

If you have bought Jabwise Pro and it is not active, open Settings > Restore purchases (and a Restore button on the paywall). Restores use your Apple Account, so sign in with the Apple ID you bought it with. An offer code goes in Settings, under Redeem Pro Code.

Managing a subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions to change or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your current period runs to its end.

Moving to a new iPhone or iPad

Your journal contains personal health information, so it is left out of iCloud and computer backups. Instead, Jabwise makes its own backup file, and you choose where it goes.

  • Back up. In Jabwise, open Settings, then Backup, and tap Back Up Now. Save the file to iCloud Drive, or anywhere else you keep files, so it is not lost with your device. To back up without thinking about it, turn on Automatic Backup and choose a folder in iCloud Drive: Jabwise saves a backup there each day you use it and keeps the last 7. Backing up needs Jabwise Pro; restoring is always free.
  • Restore. On your new iPhone or iPad, install Jabwise and tap Restore from Backup on the first setup screen, or open Settings, then Backup, then Restore from Backup. You can also tap the backup file in Files or Mail.
  • What restoring does. A restore replaces everything in Jabwise on that device with the backup. If you change your mind, Undo Restore in Settings puts the previous journal back for 7 days.

Backups are encrypted on your device and open only in Jabwise, so other apps cannot read them. We never receive a copy. Apple Health access, notifications and Jabwise Pro are set per device: after a restore, Jabwise asks for each again.

Erasing your journal

In Jabwise, open Settings and tap Start Over to erase every entry, reminder and preference on this device. Samples already saved to Apple Health stay there and can be managed in the Health app. Deleting Jabwise removes its journal from this device. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
