Privacy Policy

Jabwise keeps your journal on your iPhone or iPad. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

Your journal stays on your device

Your doses, prescriptions, weigh-ins, check-ins, water, reminders and profile are stored only on your device. Jabwise has no account and no server, so we cannot see, read or share your journal. Your device protects it with its passcode. The journal is excluded from iCloud and computer backups so personal health information is not copied into a backup by Jabwise; the backups below are the ones you make.

Apple Health

Connect Weight, Connect Water and Connect Steps let Jabwise read the matching samples from Apple Health. Read samples stay in memory and are not copied into your journal. Connecting Weight or Water also adds existing and future entries logged in Jabwise to Apple Health when you allow saving; Steps reads only. Disconnecting stops Jabwisefrom reading or saving that data type. Manage or revoke Apple’s permission in the Health app.

Jabwise never sends Apple Health data to our servers or analytics. Apple controls how data saved in the Health app is stored and synchronised across your devices.

What leaves your device

To process purchases and, only if you choose, to improve the app, a small amount of information is handled by our service providers:

• Purchase history
• Device identifier
• Product interaction
• Crash data
• Performance data
• Other diagnostic data

None of it includes your journal entries or health information. It is not linked to your identity and is never used to track you across other apps or websites.

Service providers

RevenueCat manages purchases and restores. It receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history so the app knows whether Jabwise Pro is active.

PostHog EU Cloud receives a small, predefined set of anonymous usage events and redacted error diagnostics only if you turn on Share Anonymous Analytics. It never receives your entries, doses, weights, names, email addresses, precise location, advertising identifiers or session recordings. You can change this choice in Settings at any time, and opted-in events are retained for 12 months.

Backups you keep

When you back up, Jabwise encrypts your journal on your device with AES-256 and hands the file to you: through the share sheet, or, if you turn on Automatic Backup, into a folder you choose. Backups only go where you put them. Jabwise never sends them to us and never saves them to iCloud for you; if you choose an iCloud Drive folder, Apple stores the file as it stores your other files. A backup opens only in Jabwise, and restoring one replaces the journal on that device.

Reports you share

Export makes, on your device, either an Appointment Report PDF from your journal or a spreadsheet of your doses and weigh-ins. Either can include weight read from Apple Health; neither includes water or steps. Each goes to the share sheet. Where it goes next is your choice; we never receive a copy.

Launch emails from this website

Before Jabwise reaches the App Store, this website lets you leave an email address to hear when it does. We keep only that address, in a private list on Cloudflare, the host of this website, and use it once: to send you the App Store link on launch day. We never add it to a newsletter, share it or sell it, and we delete the list once that email has gone. To be taken off sooner, email [email protected].

Tracking

Jabwise does not track you. We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not build advertising profiles, we do not share data with data brokers, and we never sell your data.

Your data and your rights

You can erase the Jabwise journal on this device at any time with Start Over in Settings, or by deleting the app. Start Over does not remove samples already saved to Apple Health; manage those samples in the Health app. Because we hold none of your journal, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side. You can restore purchases from Settings > Restore purchases (and a Restore button on the paywall). If you have a question about your data, contact us via the support page.

Children

Jabwise is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of the app means you accept the current version.
