# What to tell your doctor

> The leaflets list what to raise before you start: pancreatitis, a stomach that empties slowly, diabetic eye disease, insulin or a sulfonylurea, and any surgery where you’ll be put to sleep. Pregnancy is on every list. During treatment, Wegovy and Ozempic say contact your doctor urgently about a sudden loss of vision.

## During treatment

- **A sudden change in sight**: Wegovy and Ozempic say to contact your doctor urgently about a sudden loss of vision or fast-worsening eyesight.
- **Surgery or the dentist**: The NHS says to tell the healthcare professional that you’re using it before you have a general anaesthetic or a sedative.
- **Lasting stomach trouble**: Zepbound’s label says tell your healthcare provider about stomach problems that are severe or will not go away.
- **Too much by mistake**: If you use too much, Mounjaro’s leaflet says talk to your doctor immediately. The NHS says get help from NHS 111.

## Questions

### Do I need to tell the dentist?

The NHS lists a general anaesthetic or a sedative for an operation or dental procedure, and says to tell the healthcare professional that you’re using it.

### Why does surgery matter?

Zepbound’s label says it may increase the chance of food getting into your lungs during surgery or other procedures. Mounjaro’s, Wegovy’s and Ozempic’s leaflets ask you to tell your doctor if you’re due to have surgery under anaesthesia.

### Is this the full list?

No. It’s the items all four list. The leaflet in your own box has the full list, and a pharmacist can check anything else you take.
