- **3, 7 and 14mg**: Starts on: "The starting dose is one 3 mg tablet once a day for one month." ## Also in the leaflets

- **One a day**: Always just one tablet a day, the Rybelsus leaflets say: never take two tablets to get the effect of a higher dose.
- **Whole**: The Rybelsus leaflets say swallow it whole and don’t split, crush or chew it, as it isn’t known if that affects absorption.
- **Why the wait**: The leaflets say waiting less than 30 minutes before eating or drinking lowers the absorption of semaglutide.
- **On levothyroxine?**: If you also take levothyroxine for your thyroid, the leaflets say your doctor may need to check your thyroid levels.

## Questions

### What if I forget a tablet?

The leaflets say skip the missed dose and just take your normal dose the next day. The NHS says don’t take 2 doses at the same time to make up for a missed one.

### Can I take it with coffee?

The leaflets say swallow it with a sip of water, up to 120ml, then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking other medicines by mouth.

### Are the round and oval tablets the same?

Both are Rybelsus, but the strengths differ: 1.5, 4 and 9mg round tablets, or 3, 7 and 14mg oval ones. The leaflets say your doctor will prescribe the strength that is right for you.
