# Missed a dose?

> It depends on the medicine and how late you are. For Mounjaro and Zepbound, which are tirzepatide, the leaflet and label say use it if it’s been 4 days or less, and skip it after that. For Wegovy and Ozempic, which are semaglutide, the line is 5 days. All four then say keep to your usual day.

## In their own words

Each leaflet’s missed-dose rule, quoted as written. Leaflets are updated from time to time, so the one that came with your own pen is the most recent.

## Whichever you take

- **Next dose, usual day**: After using or skipping a missed dose, every leaflet and label here says go back to your usual injection day.
- **Never two at once**: Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic say never take a double dose; Zepbound’s label, never 2 doses within 3 days.
- **Three days apart**: The leaflets say you can change your weekly injection day if it’s been at least 3 days since your last dose.

## Questions

### What if I’ve missed more than one dose?

None of the leaflets cover it. The NHS semaglutide page says that if you miss more than one injection, contact your doctor for advice.

### Can I change the day I inject?

Yes, the leaflets say, as long as it has been at least 3 days since your last injection. Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic then say to continue with once-a-week dosing.

### Is it the same for semaglutide tablets?

No. The NHS says that if you forget your semaglutide tablet, skip the dose you missed and take your next dose at the usual time.

### Why 4 days for some and 5 for others?

The leaflets don’t say why. Mounjaro and Zepbound contain tirzepatide and give 4 days; Wegovy and Ozempic contain semaglutide and give 5.

## In Jabwise: Diary

Jabwise keeps your next dose in view. Your next dose sits under Coming Up. Miss one and it stays there, so you can log it later, or answer No to save it as skipped. Dose reminders never name your medicine on the Lock Screen.
