# Changing your injection day

> Yes, as long as it’s been at least 3 days since your last injection. Mounjaro’s, Wegovy’s and Ozempic’s leaflets all say so, Zepbound’s label puts it as at least 3 days (72 hours) between two doses, and the NHS agrees. After the change, the UK leaflets say carry on once a week on the new day.

## Count the days

Pick your last jab day and the day you’d like, and it counts the days until the new day comes round. Under 3, a pharmacist or your prescriber can say how to move it.

## In their own words

Each leaflet’s rule for a new day, quoted as written.

- **Mounjaro**: Changing the day: "If necessary, you can change the day of your weekly Mounjaro injection, as long as it has been at least 3 days since your last injection." ([Mounjaro KwikPen patient leaflet](https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/15481/pil))
- **Zepbound**: Changing the day: "You may change the day of the week you use ZEPBOUND as long as the time between the 2 doses is at least 3 days (72 hours)." ([Zepbound prescribing information](https://uspl.lilly.com/zepbound/zepbound.html))
- **Wegovy**: Changing the day: "If necessary, you can change the day of your weekly injection of this medicine as long as it has been at least 3 days since your last injection." ([Wegovy FlexTouch patient leaflet](https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/13800/pil))
- **Ozempic**: Changing the day: "If necessary you can change the day of your weekly injection of this medicine as long as it has been at least 3 days since your last injection of it." ([Ozempic patient leaflet](https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/9748/pil))

## Staying on track

- **Same day each week**: Mounjaro’s, Wegovy’s and Ozempic’s leaflets each ask you to use it on the same day every week, where you can.
- **Any time of day**: The Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic leaflets and Zepbound’s label all say any time of day, with or without food.
- **Noting the day**: Ozempic’s leaflet suggests noting your chosen weekday on the carton, and writing down the date each time you inject.
- **Never two close together**: Zepbound’s label says 2 doses must be at least 3 days (72 hours) apart, even when you’re changing your day.

## Questions

### What if my new day is less than 3 days away?

The leaflets only set the minimum of 3 days. A pharmacist or your prescriber can say how to move to the day you want.

### Is it 3 days or 72 hours?

Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic say 3 days. Zepbound’s label puts it as at least 3 days (72 hours) between the two doses.

### Does the time of day matter?

Each says you can inject at any time of day, with or without food. What matters is the gap: at least 3 days, or 72 hours on Zepbound’s label.

## In Jabwise: Diary

Jabwise moves your next dose with you. Change the day in My Dose and your dose reminder follows. Coming Up on the Diary shows the next dose with its day and time.
